Lewis will be missed by his sisters Pauline (Colin) Kearton, Marilyn (David) King, Janice (Ralph) Ferguson, Norma (Alan) Stephenson, and Judith (David) Beattie. He is predeceased by his parents Freda Payne (née Turner) and Ronald Wing, and by his in‑laws Margaret (Peggy) and Richard (Harry) Appleton.
Lewis will be remembered by many family members, friends, and colleagues in Ontario, Nova Scotia, England, and Australia. Born in Middlesbrough, England, he married the love of his life in May 1967. In 1977, Lewis and Joan brought their three young children to Canada, settling in Burlington.
Lewis enjoyed playing in dart leagues, the Old Timers Soccer Club, and occasionally softball. He had a passion for building, fixing, and creating, and was always there to help friends and family. Many fondly knew him as “Big Lew.”
