We are sad to announce that longtime member Bill Smith passed away on Wednesday, September 21st. Bill suffered a debilitating stroke in February, just days after his 80th birthday, and passed away due to complications from the stroke.
Bill never lost his love of football and proudly displayed all his BOTSC team pictures. He spoke fondly of his playing days and the friendships he made in the club. One of his proudest memories was meeting Sir Alex Ferguson and sharing a glass of wine with him.
Bill will be cremated in a private ceremony. As per his family’s wishes, there will be no visitation. They ask that all remember Bill as a kind and fun‑loving family man who is now at peace.
