Fred dedicated 35 years at Stelco, and continued to have a consulting career into his retirement. He was an active community member, becoming the President of the Burlington Old Timers Soccer Club. For the passion of his culture, Fred dedicated his retirement to the Continental Austrian Club, where he served as President for the past 5 years. Through his positive attitude, Fred "always found a way" to improve on the community and clubs that he served. Everyone knew Fred as being the life of the party, where he encouraged those around him to be connected through the joy of life and love. Fred was truly selfless with his time for friends and family.

Visitation at Bay Gardens Funeral Home, 1010 Botanical Drive, BURLINGTON on Monday, December 21, 2015 from 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm and from 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm. A Funeral Service will be held at St. John Lutheran Church, 104 Hughson Street, North, HAMILTON, on Tuesday, December 22, 2015 at 11:00 am. Burial at Woodland Cemetery, Burlington.
