Scott had just turned 54. Club member Dr. Bob Turliuk, his family doctor for many years, encouraged him to join BOTSC when he was in his early forties—waiting, of course, for him to turn 45. Bob was his first convenor and drafted him several times at the O45 level.

Scott was a strong player—skilled, assertive when needed, and always a committed teammate. An off‑season injury before this season kept him from playing regularly at O45, though he had recently expressed interest in returning as a spare. Scott was the ultimate team player in BOTSC, and he will be missed by many.

He is survived by his daughter and son, and by his father Alex, who was himself a fixture in Burlington Minor Soccer for many years.
