Imants Krumins

Apr 6, 1952 – Jun 9, 2011

Imants peacefully passed away at St. Peter's Hospital on June 9, 2011 at the age of 59. Beloved son of Roberts and Regina. Dearly loved brother of Eriks (Robin), and uncle to Tommy and Joey.

He will be missed by his aunt and uncle, Astra and Leons; cousins Anita (Gord) and Peter and his children Kazimir and Veronica. Imants was hugely respected for his knowledge of music and his contributions to the local music community.

The family extends heartfelt thanks to Imants' many friends who offered love and support and lifted his spirits immeasurably during his illness. Sincere gratitude to the doctors and nurses at the Juravinski Cancer Centre and St. Peter's Hospital.

Visitation took place at Smith’s Funeral Home, 1167 Guelph Line, Burlington, on Sunday from 3–7 p.m. A private family service was held at a later date.

Donations to The Brain Tumour Foundation of Canada or a charity of your choice would be appreciated.

A Tribute to Imants Krumins

Every year, friends from the Hamilton music community gather to present an evening of rock ’n’ roll in Imants’ memory while raising funds for local charities. The posters below are from the 2018 and 2019 tributes.

Imants joined the Burlington Oldtimers in 2000 and played until 2009.
