Peacefully at The Carpenter Hospice, Burlington, while surrounded by his loving family, Lucien Jooris passed away on November 28, 2015 at the age of 83 years. Beloved husband and best friend of Fernanda (nee Sanders) for 59 years. Loved father of Gary (Rita), and Mark (JoAnn).
Adored Pepe of Tara, Shane (Aaron), Blake, Joshua, and Alexa and great-grandfather of Mikayla, Samuel, Natalie, Alexander, Noah, and Jaxon.
Dear brother and brother-in-law of the late Steve… (Agnes), Lene (the late Oscar), Julien (the late Chris), Hilda (Fons), Felicien (Marie-Louise), Gracien, Emelien (Helen), and Jeff (Flo) Sanders. Loved uncle of Alison (David) and their daughters, Lori-Ann, Tanya, Grant (Mary Lynn) and their daughters, and Jeffrey (Vicki) as well as numerous nieces and nephews in Beligium.
Lucien was retired from International Harvester after 30 years service and was a longtime member of the Burlington Oldtimers Soccer Club. Friends may visit with the family at KITCHING, STEEPE & LUDWIG FUNERAL HOME, 146 Mill St. N., Waterdown on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held at BURLINGTON EAST PRERSBYTERIAN CHURCH, 505 Walkers Line, Burlington on Tuesday, December 1, 2015 at 11 a.m., Rev. Bruce McAnsh officiating. Interment to follow at Greenwood Cemetery.
