Peacefully at The Carpenter Hospice in Burlington, surrounded by his loving family, Lucien Jooris passed away on November 28, 2015 at the age of 83. Beloved husband and best friend of Fernanda (née Sanders) for 59 years. Loved father of Gary (Rita) and Mark (JoAnn).

Adored Pepe of Tara, Shane (Aaron), Blake, Joshua, and Alexa, and great‑grandfather of Mikayla, Samuel, Natalie, Alexander, Noah, and Jaxon.

Dear brother and brother‑in‑law of the late Steve (Agnes), Lene (the late Oscar), Julien (the late Chris), Hilda (Fons), Felicien (Marie‑Louise), Gracien, Emelien (Helen), and Jeff (Flo) Sanders. Loved uncle of Alison (David) and their daughters; Lori‑Ann; Tanya; Grant (Mary Lynn) and their daughters; and Jeffrey (Vicki), as well as numerous nieces and nephews in Belgium.

Lucien retired from International Harvester after 30 years of service and was a longtime member of the Burlington Oldtimers Soccer Club.

Friends visited with the family at Kitching, Steepe & Ludwig Funeral Home, Waterdown, on Monday from 2–4 and 7–9 p.m. A Funeral Service was held at Burlington East Presbyterian Church on Tuesday, December 1, 2015 at 11 a.m., with interment at Greenwood Cemetery.
