Jack Hyslop

January 12, 1937 - December 24, 2025

We are saddened to announce the passing of Jack Hyslop.

Jack was born in Manchester, England, and moved to Canada in the 1970s, where he built a long career as a sheet metal worker. He was one of the founders of the Burlington Old Timers Soccer Club, reflecting his lifelong connection to the sport. A dedicated Manchester United supporter, he rarely missed a match and enjoyed staying involved in the game throughout his life.

Golf was his other great passion, and he especially looked forward to trips to Myrtle Beach and Cuba, where he spent many enjoyable days on the course. Jack was also known for his quick wit and sense of humor, qualities that made him easy to be around and well‑liked by friends, colleagues, and teammates.

Jack is survived by his spouse, Jill, his son, Stephen, and his granddaughter, Rachel. He was pre‑deceased by his sister, Jean, and his brother, Bernard.
