Predeceased by his parents William and Ada and siblings Violet, Albert, Sidney, Joyce and Joan, brother‑in‑law James and sister‑in‑law Marlene.
Lovingly remembered by his sister Anne and her husband Rainer in Germany, and his sisters‑in‑law Linda and Kay and her husband Steve, and brother‑in‑law James in England. Cherished uncle to many nieces and nephews and all their families in England, Germany and Canada. He will be sorely missed by his best childhood friend Willie and wife Dee in England.
John was a dedicated and successful sales executive during his career with Tremco Canada. He met tremendous colleagues who became cherished friends. He was a devoted Manchester United supporter from a very young age and continued playing English football well into later life. He will be fondly remembered by his many soccer friends over the years.
A huge thank‑you to all the doctors and kind nursing staff at Joseph Brant Hospital. An extra special thank‑you to Dr. Mills for his caring bedside manner that helped John relax during his last week. Thank you also to nursing staff Odjie for his special gift that John truly appreciated, Diana for her gentleness, and Danielle for her kind heart. Thanks as well to nurses Lisa and Jennifer for accompanying him on the rides to and from Juravinski Hospital. Last but certainly not least, thank you to Amanda for her compassion and care during a very difficult time.
Forever in our hearts… his remains lie here, but his heart is forever England’s.
