It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Wallace (Wally) Cooper on Monday Feb 18th, 2019. He is survived by his loving wife Beth and his children Leslie (Derek Sharpe) and Greg (Leslie McAfee), his grandchildren Garett, Ashley and Jason and siblings Dick and Joan. Wally is predeceased by his mother, Margaret, his father, Harry, his brother Albert and his son Russell.
Wally was a pioneer in the computer software industry starting his own company in 1973. He adapted to the many changes in computers over the next 41 years.
He was an active member of the community. He was a volunteer youth hockey coach for 8 years and was instrumental in starting two men's soccer leagues in Burlington.
Wally was well-loved for his enthusiasm, positive outlook and optimism.
